I picked up the Camper Car from Spaceships for a week-long road trip through the Scottish Highlands, and it was the perfect way to explore the country. The vehicle was comfortable, reliable, and well-equipped for long drives and remote camping. The pick up and drop off process was very smooth. Highly recommend for anyone looking to experience Scotland with freedom and flexibility!

After renting the VW caddy camper car for a month trip all around England, Wales and Scotland. We would madly reccomend and encourage travellers to look into spaceship rentals. For a reasonable price and seamless pick up, drop off and communication being an absolute breeze. It's a win! Ryan and Mike were both absolute legends and held the stoke high. Super clean and smooth vehicle with everything necessary included. Get on with these guys!

Very good place, excellent service throughout.

The Voyager Van was very clean, well maintained, and well equipped! Any “I wonder if they have…” moment was followed by a “oh there it is!”. When I had some questions while out on the road they were super responsive. The Voyager was the perfect size for my trip through Scotland.

Everything from quality of the van, communication, ease of use and overal experience were amazing! We had a unique experience you can only get by roadtripping with a van in Scotland. Would 10/10 recommend and we will be booking a campervan again in the future.

Best caravan experience

The van was great and fairly well appointed, there were a couple of issues. 1/ contact less pickup was easy, but I would have preferred to have someone to run questions by. 2/ the canister in one of the gas cookers was empty and the other only had enough gas to boil the jug once. 3/ having some explanation about how to manage the UK road tolls would have helped and saved me $140.00 NZ in extra charges. 4/ explaining what Ad Blue is could have helped save a lot of confusion. Apart from that, we drove over 2000 miles and saw some beautiful places.

Easy communication with the staff, no problem for pick up and drop off, the vehicle was exactly what we needed for our road trip 😃

Customer service was great, nice and easy collection and drop off vehicle was perfect there was 6 adults and 2 children (9 seater Ford transit) plenty of leg room and for luggage drove to Disney land Paris was dream drive thanks

Great service, they answer fast and they are flexible when something pops up. The camper itself is handy and cosy.

I would definitely recommand Spaceships Rentals services. All the steps to manage the car (get the key, drop the car..) were quite easy to do and understand The car was perfectly equiped and we had an amazing time travelling with it On top, the support service was always very helpful and quick to react Thank you again

We rented a motorhome for our family of 5 while we were on holiday in the UK in July. Pick up was easy, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in the motorhome! Unfortunately, 5 days into our 9 day trip our motorhome broke down. Spaceship arranged for a mechanic to come to us that afternoon, and when the mechanic couldn't fix the motorhome they arranged for a specialist mechanic to come from London (4/5 hours away) - he arrived at 10pm and immediately started work (as the children slept in the motorhome, which was parked on a side street in Durham). He was missing a tool, so came back at 8am the following day and did his absolute best to fix the problem. Much to both his and our disappointment the motorhome couldn't be fixed. Spaceship and their insurance company tried hard to find us a replacement motorhome but to no avail. In the end we had to book accomodation and hire a car, but Spaceship immediately refunded us 4 days of our motorhome, and their insurance paid for 2 days of the rental car we had to get. We lost one day of our holiday, and the rest of our holiday was slightly different then planned, but we so appreciated the speedy efforts made by the mechanics, spaceship staff and their insurance company to find the best solutions for us. Life happens, and while another motorhome would have been wonderful I would 100% book with Spaceship again. Thank you!

The information we got before arrival, was received in due time and very clear and complete. The Campervan was clean and tidy at pick up. Everything we asked for was present (double bedding, chairs, tabel). The bedding was warm (although the pillows were quite thin so for more sleeping comfort you might arrange something for that). The van came with a handy cooking set as well. Tip is to bring an extra rope (or for spaceship: to add a rope with the gear), so you can fasten up de side tent on very windy sites. This is quite handy, if you sleep somewhere along the windy NorthCoast 500. Besides those little tips, our journey was unforgettable and this is also because of the good rental experience with Spaceships Rentals. I would definitely recommend renting a van with this company.

Good info in the web, perfect booking experience all online and quick response. Contactless pick-up and drop off so you can go at any time. We had an issue on road and they answered us quick and solved it nicely. The voyager campervan was nice.

100% awesomenesssssss 🤘 As a Danish tourist renting a Spaceship I can only say... DO IT! I rented the VW Caddy (Cheapest and smallest camper). It's was same price as the original Fiat 500 that I had booked for my trip (at a different Company), and wauw I'm happy about the trade off! The Camper came with a cooking stove, a 5ltr water tank, box with knives and utensils and a little table PLUS the mezzanin that we never ser up PLUS a small cooler 👍👍👍 I'm happy we chose this Camper as we were travelling the VERY narrow roads of the Highlands, and as if the roads are not sketchy enough themselves I'm happy that we didn't have to haul a big Camper around places like applecross pass. It's easy to find free parking to camp out in Scotland, so the car was actually our main expense during our road trip. It's easy to get to the rental site 35 minutes out of town by bus... Also a plus when picking up and dropping off.

Do not doubt and rent your campervan with Spaceships. Even though there is a contactless pick up and drop off (which works flawless and is very quick and convenient), the service is outstanding! The online support is very responsive, personal and works great, very impressive! Flexibility of the company is great as we could easily change our drop off time and easily book an extra day. Prices are fair for what you get: very descent and clean campers with a good set up. We had the smaller one, the volkswagen cady. Car drives smoothly and is convenient in Scottish roads. The bed with linnen is great and sets up easily. There is enough storage under the bed and above the front seats to put everything away. The extra equipment (table, chairs, cookeware,..) was of descent quality and usefull, the gasstove even came with 4 gas canisters! The tent is not huge, but sufficient and sets up easily. No small letters or traps, just a very honest and reliable company to rent your campervan and fully enjoy your holiday. We will definitely rent again with Spaceships and recommend this to everyone. +5 stars from our side !

Great customer service and online support, however the van itself was not the best. It was a van that worked fairly well, but the drive wasn’t the most comfortable - not their fault. But customer service was top level, Mike is a legend and made our trip possible.

Good info in the web, perfect booking experience all online and quick response. Contactless pick-up and drop off so you can go at any time. We had an issue on road and they answered us quick and solved it nicely. The voyager campervan was nice.

+ The pick up of the van is very easy. Everything was prepared in the van when we arrived (bed sheets, kitchenware, table, chairs, etc) + The van is easy to drive and park. + The subscription to the Caravan and Motorhome Club is nice (you pay less for some camping and have a better camping spot !) - We had 2 motor problems (the van just stopped working for 10 minutes each times) - The bed is not verry confortable (one side of the bed was falling during nights).

We had a great time with our Spaceship motorhome! 1. Vehicle pick-up [5/5 stars] The pick-up was well arranged. You can retrieve the keys to the vehicle in a key-locker system at the location using an app. It’s quick and efficient. Staff at the garage were friendly and helpful. 2. Preparation and communication [5/5 stars] The company communicated well with us. After the booking we received information and a useful instruction video. We did not need any service during our holiday so I can’t tell if that would be good. There were numbers displayed in the vehicle that you can call in case you need help. 3. Vehicle [5/5 stars] We had ‘Mars’. A Fiat Ducato motorhome, a diesel-powered automatic transmission. A great, modern and reliable vehicle. No issues throughout the holidays and safe (also when driving up the hill). 4. Equipment [4.5/5 stars] All was working well inside the vehicle. Cooking and dining equipment was good. The only thing missing would be a cafetière for good coffee. There’s no WiFi aboard of the vehicle. Electric cables, outdoor fishingchairs and table were fine. The bed was okay-ish. There were some slats missing from the base which made sleeping less comfortable. 5. Returning the vehicle [5/5 stars] You have to return the vehicle at the same level as pick-up. Does not need to be full. This is often the case at other rentals. Which was nice. Again, quick and easy hand-in. Note on booking a motorhome: Please consider the size of the vehicle that you’d like to book for your holiday. A motorhome is a large and wide vehicle for the small roads in Schotland/the Highlands. It took me a day or two to get used to it and it was still quite intense to drive it. The comfort is next level though. At arrival it takes only little to set up and be comfortabele. Cold or midges? No problem, you can close the door and sit comfy inside. No need to reorganise every day. Also, it’s tall-people friendly:) Hope you’ll find this review useful. Cheers

I was so pleased with renting with SpaceShips. Rented a small caddy, everything you needed in the car. Very comfortable, and a lot of space. We had some trouble with our cooler box that broke down, contacted Spaceships and they sorted it out for us so quick. They are very easy to get in contact with, and Mike who always seems to be on the phone, is lovely to answer all your questions. Highly recommend.

We have rented already 3 times and will do it again....

A refaire !

Great customer service, thanks Ryan for dealing with all our changes.

My girlfriend and I did a lot of research to find out the least sketchy motorhome rental company. By reading a lot of reviews and blogs, we went for the Spaceships campervans. This was the best decision we made, since we really enjoyed driving this fully equipped motorhome (family motorhome). The day before pick-up, we received all detailed pictures of the motorhome to record all damage which was already done on the motorhome before rental, which gave us a lot of comfort. The motorhome was ready in time at pickup. Everything is clearly explained in a guide located in the motorhome + the video on Youtube, which is made by Spaceships, explained everything very clear. We never used a motorhome before, so this was a very good experience for our first time driving/using a motorhome. We did not have any breakdown while being on a trip. The heating in the motorhome was very easy to use. We did not have to refuel the LPG tank (used the motorhome for 8 days). We took maximum coverage to be sure (which I can recommend on the scottish roads). While being on our roadtrip we also got a reminder that, if we have some damage, we have to report it while our rental is ongoing (otherwise it is not covered). Yesterday, we received a mail to confirm our motorhome is was damage free. Conclusion: Very trustworthy rental company (how every rental company should be)

The bathroom door was in a faulty. I would recommend that the building has a waste disposal facility for those who go wild camping and have no way to clean out their rental van before returning it. Simple facilities including a bin would be helpful so that you can empty out your rental van and clean all the facilities. Overall, we had quite a good experience with our camper van!

Really happy we chose to rent from Spaceships, we rented a caddy and had no issues during our week of travel. The staff were really responsive which I appreciated and they were very accommodating with our last minute booking.

The motorhome was in good shape. The customer service is very on the ball. Would definitely recommend! Best way to see England.

Enjoyed renting from these guys, and the vehicle we hired was in a pretty decent condition, with the layout giving us ideas on what we'd want in our own campervan if we choose to get one down the line. Checking it out and back in again was a doddle when following the instructions on the email, and any questions were answered quickly by the team. Our only gripe wasn't with the company, but with the satnav directions to get there, which kept trying to take us along areas blocked by security gates.

Wszystko sprawnie, jasne zasady i samochody w dobrym stanie. Inne wypożyczalnie mogą się od nich uczyć.

My Family of 5 traveled for a month in December around UK in Europe using the Spaceships UK Rental hiring their Family Motorhome. This choice was the best decision we made as we could not have traveled to all the different countries : England, Scotland, France, Italy, Austria, Germany, Belgium so seamlessly with 3 children if it was not for the motor home. The vehicle drive like a dream and saved us having to check in-out of hotels and trying to catch taxi-uber vans a huge amount which is not easy with 5 people and 5-6 suitcases. It's been 7 months and i still have not recovered back to normal from the trip as i want to do it again but this time for a whole year. It was life changing being exposed to so many cultures with such short drive unlike the isolation here is Australia. We had some learning motor home traveling hiccups along the way. Where Ryan and the team at Spaceships were extremely professional and responsive to assist us throughout the whole journey. Even during the difficult busy Xmas holiday period. The motor home was comfortable, clean and reliable. My son said he misses his little cocoon bed at the back he used to hibernate like a bear back there in. If you are planning to pack a lot into a traveling holiday and exploring UK-Europe with a large family. I highly recommend hiring a family motorhome from SPACESHIPS UK rentals! Thank you SPACESHIPS UK. See you next time once i can save up the funds for our next journey.

Ottimo servizio.

Very easy to deal with. Pick up and drop off couldn’t be easier. They were also flexible with the drop off time as we were delayed on our return to the UK on the Eurotunnel.

Great customer service, motorhomes are amazing to sleep in even with a dog.

Absolute 5 star company! Made everything so easy. Many thanks to Mike and Ryan for their quick responses! Will be using again!!

Fantastic experience with Spaceships Rentals UK! Hired a 9 seater Ford Transit Mini Bus to drive from London to Edinburgh and return over 2 weeks. We had 7 people with lots of luggage, the vehicle was incredibly spacious it fit everything including a big wedding dress. It was also surprisingly modern, easy to drive, clean and economical. The team at Spaceships were super helpful from my very first enquiry and very responsive with every query I had along the way. We were caught in peak hour traffic coming out of London on our return day and were going to be 2hours late to our drop off - the team we’re so understanding, just told us to drive safe, take our time and they’d let the branch know we’d be a little late. Customer service gets a 10/10. Pick up and drop off is self service but lots of instructions provided that made it easy. Deposit returned promptly and securely. Spaceships were by far the cheapest option for the vehicle we needed - included unlimited mileage and 4 registered drivers at no extra cost. I was initially a little worried that might mean old cars and below average service but it absolutely did not! Better experience than any car hire company I’ve used in the past. Highly recommend Spaceships UK!

The pick-up / drop-off location isnt the easiest to get to and from which Is awkward if you're travelling solo but the Caddy was value for money

We rented a 9 seater van, picking up from London. The van was spacious with plenty of room for luggage. We had no issues at all.

Gracias Spaceships!

Great experience with Spaceships Rentals ! We rented the Luxury Motorhome for a 10-day drive around Scotland and loved every minute ! The motorhome was confortable, well equipped, spacious. There was lots of storage space, the main double bed was very accessible and in a proper room, the toilet and separated shower were nice, the kitchen was nice to cook in, there was a nice-sized fridge & freezer. We would totally recommend Spaceships Rentals ! And we will definitely choose them again on our next trip to Scotland ! Great customer service too !

From start to finish the customer service has been 100%. Having never rented a camper before they were always on hand to provide support, advice and more. I cant recommend them enough.

The van was very comfortable and practical. Also excellent for collection and return. Absolutely worth trying

Excellent (pre) booking support, smooth check-in and check-out process, enjoyable van. The “big daddy” has been the ideal companion for our adventure in northern Scotland.

We booked well in advance and it couldn’t have been easier. We could choose exactly what we needed in the van for our trip to camp at Silverstone over the British Grand Prix. Any emails and telephone calls were answered and arrangements made without a fuss. Collection and drop off took minutes and we were on our way. The van was clean and well equipped, a great experience all round. We highly recommend and definitely use them again. Thank you and well done.

Very good and easy made conditions to pick up and leave the van. The staff is very prompt in replies should one have any kind of question. Gives you this peace of mind that if you have any issue you get the help you want.

All was great

Spaceships communicated so promptly! They answered all our questions and worked with us to get the perfect dates for our trip! Our little VW Caddy was fuel efficient yet roomy and comfortable enough for the two of us! It was great in the mountains and on narrow streets! We highly recommend them and can’t wait for our next adventure with them!

Wszystko sprawnie i bezpiecznie. Inne wypożyczalnie mogą się od nich uczyć

Camper van wasn’t very clean on arrival with old single use cutlery and crumbs in side pockets from previous passengers as well as a stain on the cushions which looked like someone had been sick before. The chairs and table for sitting outside were damaged from previous customers and the kitchen equipment was all over the place. There were different cutlery sets and blunt knives. Other than this, the rest of the van seemed to be quite comfortable to move around in with everything else working as it should. We had some problems with the fridge leaking on several occasions but that could just be as a result of the ice tray being too full. The contactless pick up worked fine for us but we were a bit confused as to what we should do when returning the camper van. Having a member of staff present when returning the van would help if you have any questions to ask. I would recommend that the building has a waste disposal facility for those who go wild camping and have no way to clean out their rental van before returning it. Simple facilities including a bin would be helpful so that you can empty out your rental van and clean all the facilities. Overall, we had quite a good experience with our camper van!

What a good company, the customer service is great! They checked in after a couple days on the road to make sure all was well and immediately answered questions I had. Loved the campervan! Really enjoyed driving the manual transmission, and the van ran smooth the whole way. I found so many sweet spots to park it and camp for the night while in Scotland. The pick-up/drop-off was super smooth, and that was nice because I didn’t really know what to expect. This is a company free from hidden charges (do get the insurance just in case), and super supportive of my journey. I highly recommend Spaceships!

Czysty i zadbany motorhome. Polecam!

Nice place

Really helpful people.

I rented for nearly two months and the experience was all I had hoped. The van behaved well, everything working as it should. A cracking time.

Great experience and good customer service, thanks.

Great price and great campervan, kids loved it and took me back in time as a kid!!!
